Presentation title: The present and future of Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and how they have already become a supportive technology for people with disabilities.

Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs) have been the subject of many research projects in laboratory environments. The European project BNCI Horizon 2020 has studied how BCIs have evolved from the perspective of research, end users and industry, with the latter element led by Eurecat Technology Centre of Catalonia. This presentation will show the resulting road map of the future of BCIs, specifically illustrated by the results of the BackHome project, also led by Eurecat, where for the first time BCIs have become a supportive technology for people with disabilities in their real environments, from rehabiliation centres to their homes.
