Biography

Mohammad Mashayekhi received his PhD in printed and flexible electronics at UAB University (Barcelona, 2016). Later, he obtained an MBA-Project Management from OBS business School in 2017.
Currently he is a project manager in Eurecat Technology Center (Spain), leading R&D projects related to electronic engineering and related emerging technologies such as printed, flexible and hybrid electronics. He is active in private and public-funded innovative projects addressing thin film technologies, TFT-based circuits and systems, 2D/3D printed smart sensors for IoT, RFID solutions for labeling, packaging and implantations, thermoforming and in-mold electronics.

3D ElecPrint: Printed Electronics in 3D Parts.

Hybrid printed electronics technology has shown the potential to combine compact high-performance circuits over all type of materials, from rigid metals to lightweight materials, composites polymers, and textile or elastic substrates. It has been attracting major attention with the dawn of Internet of Things, as an enabler to embed autonomous active circuits on portable objects with privacy labels, luminesce elements, biocompatible energy storage with printed batteries on papers, photovoltaic devices, optoelectronic, sensing devices, and NFC communication tags. Our recent work focus two main approaches for preparing 3D printed electronics: printing via ultrasonic microspraycoating and thermoforming printed circuits on foils.
